M.Mathusigan, Son of Mr.Thangaiyah Thavendran,(born on 10-08-2002), Kallady, Batticaloa district, Sri Lanka for swim across the Palk strait, spanning a distance of 30km from Dhanuskodi,Tamil nadu, India to Talaimannar, Sri Lanka in 12 hours and 53 minutes.
He started to swim from Dhanuskodi on 28-05-2023 at 01:00 am and reach his destination Thalaimannar at 01:53 pm on the same day.
The Cholan Book of World Records (CBWR) recognizes this outstanding accomplishment as the first of its kind.
