Young Genius: Most Names Identified and Recited Using Flashcards at Just 29 Months
Master Mahisheraan, son of Dr. Thushyanthan Dharmasundaram and Dr. Ramagini Thushyanthan, born on July 21, 2022, and residing in Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka.
At the tender age of 29 months, he achieved an extraordinary feat by accurately identifying and reciting over 650 names across various categories, including:
Alphabets and numbers (both in order and jumbled),
Colors, shapes, and family members,
Parts of the body, vehicles, animals, birds, and sea creatures,
Fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and food items,
Common objects found in classrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and washrooms,
Things in the sky, garden, and nature,
Occupations, common places, and clothing,
Insects, reptiles, and cartoon characters,
and identified the flags of SAARC countries.
Additionally, he recited rhymes and songs in both English and Tamil, demonstrating his exceptional memory and cognitive abilities at such a young age.
The Cholan Book of World Records (CBWR) proudly recognizes this first-of-its-kind achievement as an official world record.
This event took place on March 13, 2025, in Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka.

In this event, where Mr. M. Gopalaretnam, the Deputy Chief Secretary of the Eastern Province, participated as the chief guest, Professor Bharathi Kennedy, Director of the Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies, Eastern University, and Mr. M. Somasooriyam, Principal of Batticaloa Technical College, attended as special guests and congratulated the child who achieved the Cholan World Record.
This event was jointly organized by the Cholan Book of World Records and the Peoples Helping Peoples Foundation. The honorary guests included Kala Bhooshanam Mrs. Indirani Pushparaja (Retired Principal, Mat/Vivekananda Women’s College, and Coordinator, Mat/Ramakrishna Mission Saradha Balika Vidyalaya, Batticaloa) and Mrs. Benitra Nilosini Stanley (Principal and Managing Director, Jazz Reel Kids Garden Preschool, Batticaloa). They attended the event and delivered congratulatory speeches for the record-achieving child.
