The Cholan Book of World Records (CBWR) proudly presented the prestigious EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP & SELFLESS SERVICE AWARD to Rev. Fr. Dr. S. Jesuraj, M.Sc., B.Ed., Ph.D. (Chemistry), Headmaster of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India, in recognition of his 29 years of dedicated service to education, humanity and student welfare.

Born on 5 April 1968 to Mr. S. Savarimuthu and Mrs. S. Jeyaseeli, Rev. Fr. Dr. S. Jesuraj has devoted 29 remarkable years to priesthood and education, including 17 years of exemplary service as a Headmaster. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership, compassion and an unwavering commitment to transforming young lives through education.

His educational philosophy is founded on the belief that every student deserves equal opportunities, dignity and respect. He has worked tirelessly to promote students’ academic, intellectual, emotional, moral and social development while encouraging scientific thinking, creativity, discipline and individual talents.

His selfless service extends beyond the classroom. He has provided financial assistance to underprivileged students, supported children at risk of discontinuing their education and advocated for the welfare, dignity and inclusion of students with disabilities. His compassionate interventions have enabled many students to continue their education and pursue a brighter future.

One of his notable contributions was introducing a breakfast programme at Pallangkoil School many years before the Government’s breakfast scheme was implemented, reflecting his foresight and humanitarian commitment. He has also played a valuable role in preserving and promoting the traditional arts of the Thanjavur region by training students and providing opportunities for them to showcase their cultural talents.

His 29-year journey exemplifies the true purpose of education: not merely imparting knowledge, but nurturing character, hope, dignity and humanity. His dedication to student welfare and social upliftment has made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless young people.

In recognition of his exceptional educational leadership, selfless service, outstanding contribution to student welfare, commitment to social development and promotion of traditional culture, the Cholan Book of World Records conferred this prestigious award upon him as a mark of honour, gratitude and appreciation for his extraordinary contribution to education and humanity.

The award presentation ceremony was held on 9 October 2026 at St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School, Thanjavur, in the distinguished presence of the following dignitaries:

Award Presentation and Organisation
The award was presented by Dr. N. Nimalan, Founder and Chief Editor of CBWR; Mrs. N. Aathirai, General Secretary of CBWR; and Mr. D. Selvaraj, Regional President of CBWR.

The programme was meticulously organised by Mr. I. Kulanthaisamy, Assistant Headmaster of St. Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and Thanjavur District President of CBWR, whose efforts contributed to the successful conduct of this memorable occasion.
