Mr. Kannan from Kanyakumari district, one of the India's iron men, set a new Cholan world record by pulling a heavy vehicle weighing 13,500 kg for a distance of 111 meters. Condition of the ground was 10 degree mountain angle. This remarkable world record event was held in the presence of Honorable Mr.Vijay Vasanth-member of Parliament on 18-09-2022.

Longest Duration To Pull A 1550kg Weighing Mini Truck For 500 Meters with His Beard And Another 500 Meters With His Hair In The Age Of 60
A 60-year-old farmer from Jaffna, Mr.Chelliah Thiruchelvam, pulled a 1550 kg Tata Ace Vehicle for 500 meters with his beard and 500 meters with his hair, and set a new Cholan world record.
Mr.Sri Nagavani Raja, Vice President of Sri Lanka Branch of CBWR and Mr.Indranath Perera, General Secretary of CBWR witnessed and confirmed this event as a World record.
The Cholan world record holder Mr.Thiruchelvam was felicitated with a framed certificate, a medal and a commemorative plaque by the honorable minister of fishery Mr.Douglas Devanatha.
This world record event was jointly organized by Cholan Book of World Record and People Helping People Foundation, a social welfare organization.
It is noteworthy that Mr Chelliah Thiruchelvam has already registered his name in the Cholan Book of World Records twice.
Today's younger generation youths are immersed in the lack of skills and suffer from various physical and mental diseases and some become addicted to drugs. Therefore, this Cholan world record holder Chellaiya Thiruchelvam said that this Cholan world record attempt was made to raise awareness that one can live happily with physical and mental health even at the age of 60 by spending an hour daily in physical exercises.
